Artist Alecia Neo's art project, Unseen: Constellations, invites the public to experience the world with your eyes closed in a blinded tour in the library!
This project is part of a series of art projects titled Unseen that explores the latent potential of individuals and communities through a process of experiential learning.
In this two year long project with seven visually-impaired students at Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School in Singapore. Students explore self-identity and their future selves through a series of role-playing and skills-based workshops led by the artist and her collaborators. The project seeks to act as a platform and a bridge between sighted people and people living with visual impairment for a more inclusive and understanding society.
During the workshop, the artist will also share about the process of creating together with her student participants and collaborators. Some students will also share their journeys and reflections whilst creating braille bookmarks together with the public.
This session is suitable for suitable for youths and adults. Registration is not required.
